Communicating with Guests

How do you prioritise communication with Guests as a Host?

After accepting a booking, always try to be the first to reach out and thank them for booking with you. Gratitude and a warm welcome go a long way.

What steps do you take to ensure a positive and personalised experience for your Guests?

After extending a friendly welcome, kindly verify the booking details with the Guest, including the booking period, delivery information, and other relevant details. Make sure the Guest has a clear understanding of the booking to avoid any confusion.

Keeping a clean and well-maintained car

How do you ensure that your car is clean and well-maintained for each Guest?

Before each new booking, it is crucial to ensure that the car undergoes a thorough cleaning and inspection, both inside and out. Guests will consistently anticipate receiving a vehicle of the same quality as the one showcased in the app's advertised images.

Are there any strategies in place to keep your car in optimal condition?

Whenever possible, make it a habit to assess the cleanliness of the vehicle. Recognise that there may be instances of back-to-back bookings, limiting your ability to clean thoroughly. However, always strive to clean the car as much as you can, and be prepared with a portable vacuum for quick clean-ups when the car is returned.

Personalising experience for Guests

How do you personalise the experience for your Guests?

Ensure that the car has a minimum of half a tank of fuel at all times. Going the extra mile to have the car fully prepared for the Guest's use can provide them with the best possible experience. As an additional gesture of hospitality, you may consider offering snacks as an extra perk if you wish.

Maintaining relationships with Guests

How do you keep in touch with your Guests after bookings are complete?

Follow up by enquiring Guests about their experience with the car once the booking is completed. You may also ask them what you could improve regarding both the car and the service provided.

Always end the conversation by letting them know that your car is only one request away from booking, and share with them your listing(s) URL to ease their booking process on the platform.

What other tips would you like to share with Hosts?

Consider having pre-prepared templates to help you cover all the essential aspects of the pre and post-booking, including follow-up process such as requesting feedback, offering future booking options, and expressing gratitude. It facilitates clear and concise communication with Guests and reduces the effort to answer repeated questions from different Guests.

Lastly, any advice for other aspiring Hosts?

By placing yourself in your Guests’ shoes, you gain a deeper understanding of their requirements, enabling you to determine what is necessary and how to effectively fulfil their needs.
