Minimum Booking Days Feature

We’re rolling out an exciting new feature for Hosts. You can (finally) set a minimum number of days for your listings.

This feature will be rolled out in phases to users.

Setting a minimum number of booking days for TREVO listings offers several benefits for Hosts:

• Improved Guest-Host Matching: Setting a minimum booking duration helps match Guests with Hosts who are willing to accommodate longer rental periods, leading to more satisfied Guests and Hosts.

• Better Planning and Flexibility: Hosts can better plan their schedules and manage their vehicles when they have bookings for longer durations, offering more predictability and flexibility in their car-sharing activities.

• Reduced Administrative Burden: Longer bookings mean fewer turnovers, reducing the time and effort Hosts need to spend managing multiple short-term rentals.

• Enhanced Vehicle Utilisation: Longer bookings allow Hosts to maximise the use of their vehicles, reducing downtime and increasing the overall efficiency of their car-sharing venture.

How to set minimum number of days a Guest can book

1. Go to ‘Host’

2. Tap ‘My Cars’

3. Tap the relevant listing that you want to update

4. Tap ‘Preferences’

5. Tap ‘Settings’

6. Under Minimum booking day, update your minimum days

Important considerations

Considering that most bookings span only one day, enabling this feature might lead to a reduction in potential bookings. To counter this, you can consider making your listings available for more days.

When enabled, a label indicating the minimum number of booking days will be added onto your listing.

Your listing will only be shown to the Guest if the date range equals the minimum number of booking days you have set.

An error message will be shown to the Guest if the booking does not meet the minimum booking days.

   You have the flexibility to choose any duration between 1 and 7 days. By default, all listings will be set to 1 day.

   Yes, you have to set the minimum of booking days separately for each listing.
