How to change delivery location

Hosts can now change delivery or handover location through the app!

With the latest app update, managing your car bookings just got easier. Previously, changing delivery arrangements meant contacting Customer Support, but now you can do it directly in the app. Whether you need to switch from Point A to Point B, it's seamless.

This update empowers you to control your bookings with ease, making the process smoother and more adaptable to your needs. Additionally, the new Host delivery feature allows you to pick up or deliver your car from/to a different address than the original listing location.

How will this benefit you?

  • Convenience: Hosts can now change the delivery or handover location of their car directly on the app, without having to contact Customer Support via live chat. This saves time and effort for the Hosts, making the process more convenient.

  • Flexibility: Hosts can change the handover location before accepting a booking request, giving you more flexibility in managing your bookings. This allows you to accommodate last-minute changes in your schedule or the Guest's needs.

  • Seamless: After selecting the new handover location, a Dasher will be re-assigned to collect the car from the updated location and deliver it to the Guest. This makes the process seamless for both the Host and the Guest, ensuring a smooth handover of the car.

Before delving deeper, let's clarify some of the terms:

  • Listing location: It refers to your listing’s original address that you set when you listed your car on the app.

  • Handover location: It refers to the address where you intend to meet the Dasher or Guest to pass or collect your car at. Handover location could be different from the listing location or the same.

  • Handover Fee: Changing the handover locations may incur a Handover Fee - continue reading for more information.

How the feature works:

Guest paid for delivery

In this instance, although the Guest paid for delivery, since you’ve decided to change the handover location to a further location, a Handover Fee is applicable.

Guest didn’t pay for delivery

When the Guest made the booking and chose to self-collect, the address for the location by default will be your listing location.

Assume that your car is not at the listing location, you have two options:

  • Option 1 - Meet the Guest at the listing location to pass the car yourself

If you decide to go with this option, there will be no fee involved.

  • Option 2 - Request for a Delivery Agent

If you decide to request for a Delivery Agent, there will be a Handover Fee involved, which is based on Dasher service charges.

The Handover Fee is charged through a deduction on your Host payout and will be shown in the booking’s payout breakdown.

The same logic applies to when the Guest has chosen to self-deliver (return) the car back to you.

IMPORTANT

If the listing location and handover location is the same, do not update the address as you will be charged a handover fee.

For example, the original listing location is Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and you update it to Parking Bay, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, which is essentially the same location, it will be considered as a different address.

FAQs

  • Only once per booking.

  • You will need to pay the difference in delivery fee between the old and new location based on the calculations shown on the app. The rates are as follows:

    1-15 km (RM/km): 1.00

    > 15 km (RM/km): 1.50

  • If you require a Delivery Agent to collect your car from a different location Choose ‘Assign delivery agent’ and a Dasher will be collecting your car from you. You will pay a Handover fee for the delivery service.

  • Any delivery location change fee incurred will be deducted from the Host Earning Payout.

  • For now, you can change your handover location at the point of the booking acceptance. In a future update, you’ll be able to do the same for accepted bookings.

  • It comes in handy when the car is not at the original location i.e. the listing address is your home (Point A), but the car is with you at your office (Point B).

  • In the case of a Guest self-collect booking, if the Guest doesn't select delivery, you can request for Dasher service. The Dasher will take the car from the handover location and deliver it to the actual listing location, where the Guest is supposed to self-collect.

  • Use the Host Request Form (HRF) to change your listing location.
