Protect your listing(s) with TREVO Shield

Not seeing your listing(s) under any TREVO Shield plans as shown below?

Chances are, you have not chosen a TREVO Shield plan to safeguard your listing(s) on the platform.

What is TREVO Shield?
TREVO Shield (underwritten by Allianz)  is an insurance policy designed specifically for P2P car-sharing Hosts, providing coverage for the cars listed on TREVO for car sharing purposes.

Available Plans
There are three different plans available, namely Shield 75, Shield 65, and Shield 60. If you choose a higher Shield plan, you can earn a higher percentage of the Trip rate, but it also comes with more liability and fewer safety features if the car gets into an accident.

Select a TREVO Shield plan by 30 April 2023 to ensure your listing is protected during a car-sharing period.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I still need to subscribe to a TREVO Shield plan if I already have P2P add on?
Yes, you still have to choose a Shield plan when you share your car on TREVO.

If it's an existing listing and you have not selected a Shield Plan, please do so by filling up this form by 30 April 2023.

What is the difference between having an Allianz motor insurance and having one of the TREVO Shield plans?
As a Host, your listed car(s) is/are required to be insured under Allianz for your Private Motor Insurance.

TREVO Shield is the P2P Insurance Add-On (underwritten by Allianz) that TREVO provides for P2P Car sharing purpose.

TREVO Shield comprises 3 plans (TREVO Shield Plan 75, 65 & 60) that cater to Hosts of different liability and earning appetites. Only TREVO Hosts can subscribe to a TREVO Shield plan.

Is there any coverage against car theft?
Under all TREVO Shield, you are eligible to claim up to the vehicle sum insured value or market price of your vehicle (whichever is lower) in the event of a car theft.

However, a Surplus charge will apply to the Host, subject to the TREVO Shield Plan they have opted for.

What should I do if my insurance is not under Allianz?
Host is required to migrate to Allianz for their Private Motor Insurance of their upcoming due insurance renewal via TREVO Guard.

Meanwhile, TREVO provides protection to cars, regardless of which Insurer, until the end June 2023, with the condition that Host has opted for a TREVO Shield plan.

What is not covered by TREVO Shield?
TREVO Shield coverage excludes any injuries and damages that are caused when you are driving your own TREVO-listed car, as it is purely a car-sharing Insurance Policy that safeguards your car when it is being driven by Guests.

When you are driving your own TREVO-listed car, your personal Allianz motor insurance policy will protect you.
